Modern machines execute steps ranging from the cutting of metal sheets, the different mechanized steps foreseen in the knives design, grinding, polishing as well as the different heat and finishing treatments. Chosen from the finest of valuable wood and handled by highly qualified staff, the handle is treated and polished until approved by Muelas quality control craftsmen. The material is also selected, prepared and adjusted on Muelas premises. The factory has a trimmings department where the skins that are to later to become knife cases are cut, sewn and finished by hand. End result
